Phase 2 of Peachtree Hills Place - Lot 8!!
/We're currently finishing up Phase 2 of our custom cottages at Isakson Living’s Peachtree Hills Place. Lot 8, an amazing home and “showroom” for the owner’s art collection is particularly unique and features high-end millwork, custom 2-story windows, an elevator, and lots of strategically placed lighting.
We love creating custom spaces that bring each client's vision to life!
Coming Soon at Athens OBGYN!
/We can’t wait to start our renovation at Athens OBGYN! This project will include new finishes and improvements to facilitate the flow of patients throughout the facility.
We're excited to be teaming up again with Studio Plaid on what should be a meaningful project that improves the patient experience.

GSU Library North Progress!
/We're going vertical at Georgia State University Library North! The concrete slab is complete, and steel is being erected. Looking forward to the progression of this renovation and addition!
Exciting new concept at Ponce City Market!
/We're thrilled to have started on a new project at Ponce City Market. We’re working with Jamestown and ASD | SKY to take over some existing retail and circulation spaces to expand the food hall with an exciting new concept.
GSU Football is BACK!
/This will be their second season in their new Football Operations space…what a project that was. Go Panthers!

Project Highlight - GSU 11th Floor at 55 Park Place
/We're proud of our recent renovation at Georgia State University 11th floor at 55 Park Place in downtown Atlanta. This project designed by CBRE l HEERY included over 27,000 SF of high-end “corporate” classroom space to expand the Robinson College of Business. Our team previously renovated the entire 12th floor, a similar program for RCB, so you can imagine how excited we were to be selected for this phase, too…it’s always good to finish what you’ve started!

It's Feature Friday! Meet Stephen Bracher – Project Engineer for Macallan Construction!
/What’s your construction specialty?
I primarily assist project managers with RFIs, submittals, scheduling, and coordinating subcontractors.
What attracted you to the construction industry?
I’ve always been interested in the process of building and enjoy the satisfaction of seeing all the different trades and components come together to create a final product.
What was the most memorable construction project you’ve ever worked on?
Renovating the public spaces and adding restaurants to the Omni Hotel in downtown Atlanta while keeping the hotel open and functioning. The most memorable activity on this job was removing giant stone wall panels a few stories up right next to the street during rush hour to create a restaurant balcony.
What advice would you give someone who wanted to enter the construction field?
Never be afraid to ask questions and listen to advise from people with more experience and knowledge than you. That’s the way I’ve learned the most!
Tell us an interesting or fun fact about yourself!
I spent a summer hiking over 300 miles in New Mexico during college.

Work is underway on GSU's Library North Addition & Renovation!
/Our team is hard at work creating a new entrance from the greenway level, including a lobby, monumental stairs, and a pair of elevators. The exterior will be clad in a glass curtainwall and limestone and the roof will have a landscaped patio. We can't wait to see the transformation of this space!

Westminster Presbyterian - Renovation Project
/Our team did an awesome job on this classroom wing addition at Westminster Presbyterian. This project included a new block, brick, steel, and precast construction to match the existing structure. The new building consists of three classrooms, two restrooms, and one divisible group meeting room.

/What’s your construction specialty?
Millwork / CabinetryWhat attracted you to the construction industry?
I started out of high school doing HVAC and then drywall. What attracted me to construction was when I went to work in a cabinet shop, is where I found my love for construction. I went from simply sanding doors to installing cabinets in a few short years. I installed commercial and residential cabinets for over 10 years.What was the most memorable construction project you’ve ever worked on?
The Court of Appeals in Atlanta. I remodeled a Judge’s Chamber that had an extensive millwork package. The building itself is over 115 years old, so all the existing woodwork was hand carved.What advice would you give someone who wanted to enter the construction field?
Communication and attention to detail are the keys to being successful in this industry. Create a good work ethic and be proud to be a construction worker!Tell us an interesting or fun fact about yourself!
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending as much time with my son as I can.
CCI's New Renovations!
/We enjoyed renovating Congregation Children of Israel's sanctuary, social hall, and lobby in Athens, GA. This project included a full replacement of all finishes and roofing, as well as upgrades to the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
