McDonough Public Library Grand Reopening

Yesterday, we had the honor of attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly renovated McDonough Public Library! 🏛✨ Our team at Macallan Construction worked hard to transform this space, including updated cabinets, fresh paint, new flooring, relocated walls, and upgraded lighting. 📚💡

We can't wait to see this community hub thrive and serve the McDonough area for years to come! A big thank you to everyone who helped make this project a success!

Macallan Construction has been very fortunate to work with Georgia State University on multiple projects over the years.

The goal of this project was to create a dramatic new entrance for Georgia State University’s Library North Addition. The addition included a new lobby, a monumental staircase, and a pair of elevators for vertical movement to the second level of the original library.

🚧 What advice would you want to give someone who wanted to enter the construction field?
- To consider joining a local construction association. It’s a great way to learn new skills, make valuable contacts, and explore the many facets industry has to offer. The construction industry is a true microcosm, offering a wide range of career possibilities evolving every day. There is room for everyone in this industry.

🏗️ Tell us an interesting or fun fact about yourself!
- In college you could find me onstage doing stand-up comedy.

Check out this project spotlight! This unique renovation at Bill Lowe Gallery features a two-story volume filled with ultra-smooth walls, polished concrete flooring, and advanced lighting controls. These elements create the perfect setting to showcase stunning artwork. Special attention was given to designing a cost-effective mezzanine, optimizing the space and enhancing the owner's ability to utilize the gallery to its fullest potential.

The Recovery Villages of South Atlanta | Before & After

We’re thrilled to have once again collaborated with Advanced Recovery Systems to enhance Recovery Villages South Atlanta, their newest facility in Stockbridge, GA!

This project involved the demolition and interior renovation of 34,700 square feet of an existing medical care facility, transforming it into a rehab center. Additional improvements included the replacement of the entire roof, installation of all new HVAC rooftop equipment, two new pavilions, a shade sail, new concrete paving, a decorative paver patio, a gravel seating area, resurfacing of an existing sports court, site lighting, and extensive landscaping.
