Our team has been busy installing sidewalks and curbs, building retaining walls, finishing up drywall inside, and adding light fixtures. What an incredible week celebrating women in construction with NAWIC Atlanta! 🚧✨ One highlight from last week was guiding 45 trade-focused high school students through all phases of construction at a Taylor Morrison job site. It was exciting to see the next generation of talent and their enthusiasm for our industry. In July 2023, we finished the 1,872-square-foot build-out for Junior’s Pizza in Hapeville, Georgia. The renovation included upgrades to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, as well as new flooring, drywall, millwork, and fresh paint. The result is a lively space perfect for enjoying a slice.

McDonough Public Library Grand Reopening

Yesterday, we had the honor of attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly renovated McDonough Public Library! 🏛✨ Our team at Macallan Construction worked hard to transform this space, including updated cabinets, fresh paint, new flooring, relocated walls, and upgraded lighting. 📚💡

Macallan Construction has been very fortunate to work with Georgia State University on multiple projects over the years.

The goal of this project was to create a dramatic new entrance for Georgia State University’s Library North Addition. The addition included a new lobby, a monumental staircase, and a pair of elevators for vertical movement to the second level of the original library.

- To consider joining a local construction association. It’s a great way to learn new skills, make valuable contacts, and explore the many facets industry has to offer. The construction industry is a true microcosm, offering a wide range of career possibilities evolving every day. There is room for everyone in this industry.
